April Hate

April Hate is, without a doubt, one of the most authentic Nirvana tribute bands you'll ever experience! The same equipment, the same outfits, and the same commanding stage presence. April Hate has been performing since 2007, with musical roots dating back to 1992. Today, the band consists of three members, led by none other than Christian Poirier, founder, frontman, and lead vocalist, who brings Kurt Cobain's persona to life on stage. Drummer Jonathan Bigras delivers extraordinary energy, perfectly complementing Yves Pomerleau's bass playing. Since its formation, April Hate has performed numerous shows throughout Quebec, with support from Universal Music, Sonic Youth, and Melissa Auf der Maur. On September 23, 2011, at Montreal's electrifying Théâtre Telus, the band launched its commemorative tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's legendary album Nevermind. The tour concluded on March 10, 2012, with a packed performance at Club Soda. Since then, April Hate has continued to draw packed crowds to venues across Quebec. The band has also welcomed cellist Bruna Wanderley to its live performances, adding an extra layer of depth and subtlety to its sound.
