Ribsteak Ron’s career dates back to the mid-1980s with The Smugglers. He later moved into blues and R&B with the Barfly Blues Band, and in 1991 founded Ribsteak Ron and the Prime Cuts. For the next 10 years, the band toured extensively throughout Quebec and Canada, with several dates in the United States, performing more than 250 nights a year. During those years, Ron also formed the Ribsteak Ron R&B Review, backed by a nine-piece band, as well as Upside Down, a tribute to disco music. For the past four years, Ron has been performing with The Roosters, a group made up of three highly experienced musicians. Their repertoire brings together everything Ron has explored throughout his career: classic rock, blues, R&B, biker music, disco, and dance — a mix designed to please every audience. Some of Ribsteak Ron’s career highlights include: - Performing at more than 30 blues festivals across Quebec - Laconia Bike Week - National and provincial events with Harley-Davidson Canada - 2005 Grey Cup festivities - Montreal Canadiens events at the Bell Centre - Outdoor Canadiens Zone events for 10 games in 2002 - Two appearances at Woodstock en Beauce - Two guest appearances on *Beau et Chaud* - More than 3,000 bar performances across the country
