Duo
Duo
ma.ro cultivated her musical ear as a child, cradled by the vibrant rhythms of festivals and Mount Royal Tam-Tams. Her travels around the world have nurtured her love of house and afro-beat music, distilling luminous sets where joy invites everyone to let themselves be carried away by the music. Sensitive and deeply connected to the energy of crowds, she creates musical experiences that lift the spirit and bring souls together. Sonia is a Mi'kmaq harpist and singer who explores different sound worlds through her projects. Taking the fusion of genres a step further, she now forms a live duo with dj ma.ro, where house and afro-beat rhythms mingle with the warmth of voice and harp. A singular musical signature, at the crossroads of the sensitive and the vibrant.
