Marie Pier Gagné

For more than 10 years, Marie-Pier has moved seamlessly between Quebec’s classical and popular music scenes, collaborating both on stage and in the studio with artists and organizations from a wide range of backgrounds, including Pascale Picard, Ben Shampooing, Tire le Coyote, Martin Fontaine, Disturbed, Gaspar Eden, Les Évadés, Bonhomme Setter, Université Laval’s Baroque Music Workshop, the team behind En direct de l’univers, and Théâtre du Trident. Her many years of experience, combined with university studies in cello performance, have allowed her to build strong connections with talented violinists, violists, and cellists. Since 2018, she has been developing Collectif de la Cité alongside these musicians, performing at numerous events throughout Quebec. A dedicated educator, Marie-Pier taught cello and chamber music for 12 years at the Anne-Hélène Chevrette Violin School. Her passion for sharing music led her to create Résonance, a branch of Collectif de la Cité, in 2021.
