Corporate Event Entertainment in Montreal & Quebec

Bands, solo acts, DJs and hosts for your galas, holiday parties, conferences and cocktail evenings — matched to your audience, your room and your run of show.

The entertainment at a corporate event does not have to be the best on the market. It has to be right for this room, this audience and this point in the evening. An excellent band booked too early plays to people who are still talking; the same band an hour later fills the floor. That timing decides what guests remember far more than the fee does.

MTA works with more than 130 artists across Quebec and makes that call with you. We start from four things: who the audience is and its average age, which moment the act has to carry, what the room imposes — stage, volume, curfew — and the budget. Those four answers almost always narrow the field to three or four relevant options, which we send you with samples.

Galas and fundraising dinners

Everything here turns on pacing. The music has to win the room back after each course and step aside during speeches. A tribute act works especially well: the audience recognises the material from the first bar, which avoids the half-hour of hesitation where nobody dares stand up.

Holiday parties

The challenge is the arc of the evening. A solo act or duo during cocktails, a band to lift the room after dinner, a DJ to close. The three formats hand off to each other rather than compete. It is the most requested event of the year and the one booked earliest — the good December Saturdays go from September.

Conferences and company days

Technique matters more than spectacle here. Speech intelligibility, projection readable from the back, transitions that do not eat the schedule. Entertainment works as breathing room between content blocks — short format, no heavy load-in, often strolling musicians or a visual performance.

Cocktail evenings and client events

Shorter, denser. The music has to sit under the conversation, not over it: an acoustic duo or a solo act beats a full band, which will be too loud and need space the venue does not have.

Product launches

The staging has to serve a specific message and leave usable footage afterwards. This is the format where lighting and set design weigh most heavily against the programming itself.

What we take on

Selection and negotiation, the contract and its cancellation terms, the technical rider checked against what the venue can actually supply — that is where problems surface, and better at that stage than at load-in. If the venue is not equipped, we also provide sound, stage and lighting. You deal with one contact instead of three suppliers who have never spoken to each other.

Lead time

Two to three months ahead gives the best choice. For a holiday party, plan earlier. Last-minute requests remain possible subject to availability: give us the date and we will tell you what is still open.

We work throughout Quebec — Montreal, Quebec City and the regions — and outside the province on request. Quotes are free, with no obligation, and answered within 48 hours.
